Tips to get the perfect rental experience:
When to visit & When to reserve a Beaufort rental home:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. To find the most suitable vacation home within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities.
- The sooner your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- Owners sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines contain discounts for local shops and restaurants.
Planning and picking the rightvacation home:
- Begin by selecting a vacation week and a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Beaufort, SC - Parris Island GRADS & Dog Friendly has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before you book the rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what configuration is suitable for your trip.
- Visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
- If your group is traveling with pets, filter your search for a rental that allows animals. Request information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property managers charge additional pet fees.
Have a wonderful stay:
- Add the host's contact info to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- To make sure damages are not linked to your stay, make a record of any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the property manager right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent resource to find the best local attractions.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
- Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
