Tricks and tips to get the optimal vacation property experience:

Getting the most from your budget:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • To get the largest rental for your budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Beaufort, SC attractions. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Some hosts offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies typically offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Many property management companies supply Beaufort, SC area travel guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Make a plan and choose your Beaufort, SC rental:

  • Begin by selecting potential vacation weeks and a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Southern Belle - Close to Parris Island! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC rental home search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking websites. If not, reach out to the property management company before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you must book a property that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • Visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of difficulties.
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your visit, note any problem areas during check in. Speak to the property manager immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would've not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a excellent time? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
