Strategies to get the best rental experience:

Finding the best rental home value:

  • The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Summer months are high season in Beaufort. Booking in the Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Many property management companies supply Beaufort, SC area travel guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Selecting the best vacation rental in the Beaufort, SC area:

  • Start by selecting vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Beautiful Water Views, Huge Yard, Boat Dock, Private, Quiet, Minutes to Beaufort has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always available on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property manager before booking the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what bed configuration is suitable for your group.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or costs might be applied to your agreement.
  • Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

More tips for your stay:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
  • Upon arrival, record any damages to the property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all of your things. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a terrific stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
