Tricks and tips to get the best Beaufort, SC vacation property experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer is high season in the Beaufort, SC area. Booking your vacation home in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies usually offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Look for your local Beaufort, SC area magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Selecting the perfect vacation rental in the Beaufort, SC area:
- Choose dates and spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Beautiful Water Views, Huge Yard, Boat Dock, Private, Quiet, Minutes to Beaufort has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible online. If not, contact the property owner before reserving the home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what is right for your vacation group.
- If your family is bringing pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly property. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
- If there's a particular Beaufort, SC attraction you love, look for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
More tips for your visit:
- Be sure you get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Note any issues with the property during check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if there is a dispute.
- Respect your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on good ratings to stimulate new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
