Tips and Tricks for getting the best Beaufort, SC vacation rental experience:

Finding the best rental home value:

  • Summer months are high season in Port Royal. To find the most suitable rental home within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Beaufort, SC restaurants and activities.
  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group.
  • Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides contain coupons for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Filter your search:

  • Begin by selecting your the best vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Extremely close to Parris Island! 1015 15th St. has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible on booking pages. If not, call the property manager before reserving the home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If there's a specific Beaufort, SC destination you simply love, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your phone.
  • To make sure damages aren't attributed to your visit, note any problem areas upon check in. Make contact with the host right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your quiet neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
