Tips and Tricks for getting the best Beaufort, SC rental home experience:

When to go & When to reserve a Beaufort, SC rental home:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are high season in the Beaufort, SC area. To find the best value, try shifting your vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Some property management companies offer rate reductions for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guides which often include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. • Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.
  • If there's an individual Beaufort, SC destination you love, look for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .

Advice for your stay:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Note any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute is filed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors bothering your peace. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a great time? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
