description: #Painting in the Language of Today
Abstract Expressionism didn't end with the New York School - like Jackson Pollock. It has mutated, absorbed new influences and kept going.
In this class we turn our attention to the painters defining expressionism now - in a more saturated way with imagery, street culture, digital and textures of all kinds. It isn't a shared style but a philosophy of open territory.
We will get inspired by their experimentations and try some of our own.
The class is intentionally wide in its range as we look at new combinations of new tools and methods to use as a springboard for our own work.
Be prepared to be inspired by how much room there is to make new creations entirely your own.
