Tricks and tips to get the best Fripp Island rental home experience:
Get the best rental home value:
- The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Reserving your rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Reserve your rental in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites often offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitor guide magazines which include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning, selecting, and booking a perfectrental:
- First and foremost, have your family commit to vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. 700 Winter Trout - Four Bedroom House, Sleeps 10 has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the host before you book the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or charges might be applied to your invoice.
- Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
More tips for your stay:
- Be sure you get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would back home.
- At Check-in, document any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your home life. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- At departure, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on great reviews to inspire more bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
