Tips to get the perfect Beaufort, SC vacation home experience:
When to book a Beaufort, SC rental home & When to go:
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- To get the best value, try changing your family's Beaufort, SC trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, , and reduced traffic.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Booking websites often offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines have offers and deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Filter your rental search:
- Select your vacation dates and max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. 700 Winter Trout - Four Bedroom House, Sleeps 10 has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC vacation rental search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property owner before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish what configuration is right for your trip.
- If your group is traveling with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly property. Request details on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property managers charge additional pet fees.
- If there's a specific Beaufort, SC destination you love, look for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Considerations for your stay:
- Be sure you get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of difficulties.
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would back home.
- To make certain no damages are attributed to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas during check in. Call the host immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be a good neighbor. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the property a final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
