Tips for getting the perfect Beaufort, SC rental home experience:
When to book a Beaufort, SC rental & When to go:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Fripp Island. To get the best rental home within budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
- Booking websites often offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides have coupons for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
How to select the best rental home in Fripp Island:
- First and foremost, have your family decide on date ranges and a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. 700 Winter Trout - Four Bedroom House, Sleeps 10 has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC rental home search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before you book your home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
Have a great stay:
- Get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
- Document any issues with the property at check in, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be valuable if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few issues.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your life at home. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to compel future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
