Beaufort rental booking tips and tricks:
Money saving strategies:
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer is the most expensive season in Beaufort. To book the largest rental within your budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides have money saving offers on nearby shops and restaurants.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Begin by selecting your a vacation week and a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Relax in a Pet-Friendly Lowcountry Home Near Beaches, Downtown Beaufort, and USMC Graduation! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC rentals search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the host before booking the property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly rental. Get information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
- Visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
Have a fantastic stay:
- Get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of problems.
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would at home.
- To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, note any problem areas upon check in. Speak to the property manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible resource to find the best local beaches.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Re-check the property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a great stay? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
