Tricks and tips to get the best Fripp Island vacation rental experience:

When to reserve a Beaufort, SC rental & When to go:

  • June, July, and August are high season in Fripp Island. To get the largest rental for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Beaufort, SC attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • In the Beaufort, SC area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked very early. Booking your rental home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guides contain coupons for local tours and attractions.

Narrow your Search:

  • Select a group lead, select your trip dates, and select a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Handicapped lift. 2Game rooms, 2055 sf, 4 Br, 2.5 Bath, sleeps 10. has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the host before booking your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what is suitable for your group.
  • Looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable breeds and types before booking.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your phone.
  • During arrival, note any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peaceful home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're away. Keep your property safe!
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to compel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
