Tips to get the very best Beaufort, SC rental home experience:

Getting the best value:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. To get the best value, shift your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides have deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.

Selecting the perfect rental in the Beaufort, SC area:

  • Start by having your family choose vacation dates and a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. . 2Game rooms, handicap lift, \n 2055 sf, 4 Br, 2.5 Bath, sleeps 10. has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the property owner before booking your rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to establish what configuration is suitable for your vacation.
  • If there's a specific Beaufort, SC beach you crave, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the owner about your furry family members before booking.

Advice for your stay:

  • We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Upon arrival, make note of any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of issues.
  • Be respectful. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • On check-out day, complete a walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on good feedback to drive future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
