Vacation rental home tips:

When to visit & When to reserve a rental home:

  • The earlier you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Summer months are high season in the Beaufort, SC area. To find the most suitable rental for your budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at Beaufort, SC restaurants, beaches, and activities.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Beaufort, SC area visitor guides which include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Make a plan and choose your Beaufort, SC rental home:

  • First and foremost, have your family agree to vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Secluded retreat with private dock and fire pit. Only steps from the beach! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is often available on booking pages. If not, call the property management company before you book the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out what is suitable for your vacation.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Get information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Is your family looking for specific amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Advice for a terrific stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of issues.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the property manager right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a wonderful time? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
