  • Property managers frequently offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Remodeled unique vacation rental in the heart of Historic Beaufort has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before you reserve your rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Get details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property owners charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Additional considerations:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • During arrival, record any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • At departure, complete a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on good ratings to inspire future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
