Tricks and tips to get the optimal Beaufort, SC rental experience:
Sticking to a spending budget:
- June, July, and August are high season in the Beaufort, SC area. To get the best vacation home within budget, we recommend booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Beaufort, SC restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
- The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Booking your rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Look for your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines have discounts for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
