Tips to get the best Beaufort, SC vacation rental experience:
Money saving strategies:
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. To find the best value, try changing your family's Beaufort, SC vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Look for your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides have deals for nearby tours and attractions.
Choosing and booking your prefect Beaufort, SC rental home:
- Select dates and maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your family requires. Historic Renovation Award Winner!! 5 Stars!! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often available on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to establish what is right for your vacation group.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or charges applied to your agreement.
- Are you looking for particular amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
Considerations for your stay:
- Add the owner's contact info to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would back home.
- To ensure that no damages are attributed to your stay, record any problem areas upon check in. text the host right away to record your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a wonderful time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
