15 min. drive to Parris Island for MCRD graduations, 25 min. drive to Hunting Island (parking pass supplied) for beaches, historic lighthouse, visitor center, walks & nature. 5 min. walk to the Spanish Moss Trail for walking, cycling and running, 10 min. drive to Cypress Wetlands for wildlife including gators, turtles and birds, 10 min. drive to Shell Beach for shark tooth hunting, 15 min. drive to Penn Center for Gulluh and African American History, one and a half hour drive to Charleston, one hour drive to Savannah and Hilton Head, 45 min. drive to Bluffton.
