Finding the best Port Royal rental home experience:
Getting the best value:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. To book the largest rental within your budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants.
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property management companies typically offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Look for your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines contain deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Finding the perfect vacation home in the Beaufort, SC area:
- Select vacation week and max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. The Heart of Port Royal - 2 Miles From Parris Island has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible online. If not, call the property manager before reserving your rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Visiting for a single event? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
- Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.
Tips for a wonderful stay:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
- To ensure that no damages are attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. Call the rental manager immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
- On check-out day, take a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a excellent stay? Most rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
