Fripp Island rental booking tips:

When to go & When to reserve a rental home:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in Fripp Island. To find the best value, consider changing your family's Beaufort, SC vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property managers typically offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitor guide magazines which often include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to pick the perfect rental in Fripp Island:

  • First, have your group agree to vacation dates and a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Ocean Front Captain John Fripp Viilas - Awesome Ocean Views!!! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC rentals search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before you book your rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out which bed configuration is best for your trip.
  • If there's a particular Beaufort, SC attraction you love, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
  • Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.

Additional considerations:

  • We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Upon check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peace and quiet. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on great ratings to drive more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
