Tricks and tips to get the optimal vacation rental experience:

When to book a Beaufort, SC rental home & When to go:

  • In the Beaufort, SC area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Booking your rental home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Summer is high season in the Beaufort, SC area. Reserve your rental property in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers frequently offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guide magazines which often include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Choosing and booking your prefect Beaufort, SC vacation home:

  • To start, have your family select vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Spectacular Views of Ocean & Pool includes Golf Cart has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible online. Otherwise, email the property manager before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is optimal for your vacation family.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, filter your search for a rental that allows animals. Get information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a certain Beaufort, SC destination you are enamored with, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.

Considerations for your stay:

  • We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
  • Document any damages to the property at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be beneficial if damages are assessed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your peace and quiet. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to propel new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
