Tricks and tips for getting the best Beaufort, SC rental home experience:
When to reserve a Beaufort, SC rental home & When to go:
- In the Beaufort, SC area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your rental home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Summer months are the most expensive season in the Beaufort, SC area. Booking your Beaufort, SC vacation home in the Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
- Property management companies sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area travel guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning, picking, and booking the perfectrental home:
- Select a group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Spectacular Views of Ocean & Pool includes Golf Cart has 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking pages. If not, reach out to the host before reserving the vacation property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish what is best for your vacation family.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
- If there's a certain Beaufort, SC beach you love, keep an eye out for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
Considerations for your stay:
- Get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of difficulties.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Note any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- At departure, take a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a great time? Many rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
