Fripp Island vacation rental booking tips and tricks:

Finding your perfect rental home:

  • The earlier your group can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Booking your rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Summertime is high season in Fripp Island. Booking your Beaufort, SC vacation rental in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines have money saving offers on local tours and attractions.

Planning and picking the rightrental home:

  • Choose a group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family requires. 214 Tennis Villa - New to VRBO! Resort Access Included! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is commonly available on booking pages. If not, email or call the property manager before booking the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • Visiting for a single event? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Tips to have a great stay:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect your property!
  • To make certain damages are not linked to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. Contact the property manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Just before checking out, take a walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to stimulate more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
