Tips for getting the perfect Fripp Island rental home experience:

Finding your perfect vacation home:

  • To get the best value, change your vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, travel guides have coupons for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Filter your search:

  • First and foremost, have your family select dates and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Island & Golf Getaway - 137 Ocean Point Drive has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. If not, email or call the property manager before you book the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.

Tips for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
  • Note any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if there is a dispute.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your peace and quiet. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
  • Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a great time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
