Tricks and tips to get the very best vacation property experience:

How to get the best value:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in Fripp Island. Reserve your Beaufort, SC rental in Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, SC area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

How to select the perfect vacation home in Fripp Island:

  • First, have your group agree to date ranges and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. 343 Captain John Fripp Villa - New to VRBO! Resort Access Included! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is generally available online. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before you reserve your rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out what is best for your vacation family.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you will need a rental that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

During your stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Make a record of any issues with the property during check in, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if there is a dispute.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible source for finding the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a fantastic time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
