Tricks and tips to get the perfect Beaufort, SC rental home experience:
Finding your perfect rental home:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Reserve your rental property in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property managers offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group.
- Property managers frequently offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitor guides which include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Make a plan and choose the best Beaufort, SC rental:
- To start, have your family select trip dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. 9 Periwinkle - A Nature Lovers Dream - Golf Cart Included - Cards N/A has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is generally available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before you reserve the rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or charges could be applied to your invoice.
Advice for your stay:
- Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- To make certain damages aren't linked to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the host right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of problems.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your peace and quiet. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would back home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on good ratings to drive more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
