Booking the best Fripp Island vacation property experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Reserve your Beaufort, SC rental home in Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Owners sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
  • Property management companies typically offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area travel guide magazines which include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

  • Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
  • During arrival, note any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to stimulate more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review.
