Booking the best vacation property experience:

When to visit & When to book:

  • Summertime is high season in the Beaufort, SC area. To find the best value, change your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides have deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

  • Lock your rental while you're away. Protect your property!
  • Make a record of any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your quiet neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on good reviews to compel more bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation home.
