Getting the best rental experience:

Sticking to your spending plan:

  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in the Beaufort, SC area. To find the best value, consider shifting your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers often offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitor guides which include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Filter your search:

  • Begin by choosing the best vacation week and a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Beautiful Water Views, Huge Yard, Boat Dock, Private, Quiet, Minutes to Beaufort has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before booking the vacation home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you will need a rental that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Does your group require unique amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .

Additional considerations:

  • Add the host's phone number to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • During arrival, note any issues with the property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal items. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a fantastic stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
