Getting the best Beaufort, SC rental experience:
Finding the best rental home value:
- Summer time is high season in Fripp Island. To find the largest rental within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Beaufort, SC attractions. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- In the Beaufort, SC area, The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Booking your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your family qualifies for a discount.
- Property management companies often offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guides contain coupons for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Narrow your Search:
- Choose your vacation dates and budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. “What a View!” Pet Friendly - Amazing marsh views, Golf cart included - 160 Davis Love has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available online. If not, call the property owner before you book the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish what configuration is best for your family.
- If there's a specific Beaufort, SC beach you simply love, browse properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
- Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or costs could be applied to your contract.
More tips for your visit:
- Be sure you get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
- To make certain that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. text the host immediately to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would've not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- At departure, take a final walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a terrific vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
