Welcome to Beaufort! We've decided to list our family vacation home on Vacation Rental By Owner, and we know your family will appreciate it as much as we do.
The Mangos Hideaway is a very private Bungalow near Historic Downtown Beaufort, the Marina, and the Waterfront.
Aside from being a pretty little getaway in the Hermitage /100 Pines Area and having a great location, it has a housekeeping staff that consistently keeps our Bungalow spotlessly clean for each new guest. In these crazy times, it's comforting to know that you will be staying in a completely private, sanitary and safe private home, rather than a public hotel with public shared spaces.
Our Hideaway is an definitely impressive Lowcountry 3 bedroom, 2 bath bungalow home with tons of coastal appeal and plenty of alluring outdoor space to relax on the front porch or giant rear deck. We're family and dog friendly, a 3 min. drive from downtown Beaufort, and only 10 mins. from the Parris Island Main Gate, making it not only a ideal place to stay for your Beaufort vacation, but an striking family choice for your stay while visiting your Marine's graduation at PI!
Located in the handsome Hermitage / 100 Pines area of Beaufort, SC, our Hideaway is only 2 blocks from the Spanish Moss cycling trail, a ten min. bicycle ride to downtown, or a ten min. drive to the Sands Beach. The Beaufort Boat Ramp is less than 5 mins. away, and our circular driveway makes it painless for you to bring and store your boat safely on the property during your visit.
Why is it called "Mangos Hideaway"? It has nothing to do with the fruit!
The Mangos are our 5 adorable Grandchildren, that we savor so much - They are Meredith, Arianna, Nora, Gabe and Serenity, and we've set up our Bungalow as a fun place for them to visit!
Thank you for considering our Bungalow, and we hope to see you soon!
Kenny and Mary Lou

Tips to get the optimal Beaufort, SC vacation property experience:
When to book a Beaufort, SC rental & When to go:
- Summer months are high season in Beaufort. Reserve your Beaufort, SC vacation home in Fall or Spring months to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property management companies offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Property management companies often offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitor guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Choosing the perfect vacation home in Beaufort:
- To start, have your group select dates and a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Mangos Hideaway - Your perfect choice for a relaxed stay in Beaufort! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC rental home search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible online. If they are not listed, reach out to the property owner before you book your rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If there's a certain Beaufort, SC beach you are enamored with, look for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
- Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or charges may be applied to your agreement.
Advice for your stay:
- Add the property manager's contact info to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your visit, note any problem areas upon check in. Call the host right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many problems.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible resource to find the best local spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
- Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to inspire more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
