Tricks and tips to get the perfect Beaufort vacation rental experience:

Get the most from your budget:

  • Summer time is high season in the Beaufort, SC area. To find the best value, consider shifting your trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Property managers often offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides contain money saving offers on nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Filter your search:

  • Select your vacation week and max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Sleeps 6 - Centrally Located to MCRD PI & Downtown! has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish what is optimal for your trip.
  • If there's a specific Beaufort, SC beach you are crazy about, search for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
  • Some rentals allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the owner about your furry family members before booking.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your .
  • Document any issues with the property during check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many difficulties.
  • Be respectful. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect your property!
  • Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a wonderful vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
