The front of The Sandpiper is occasionally used a few hours a week for guitar lessons, but the private apartment in the back, porch, and roomy backyard with grille and fire pit are all yours to savor. Located in the heart of Port Royal, you’re just a half-mile walk to the beach, wetlands trails, and local eateries and bars, and only 5 mins. to Parris Island - the ideal mix of comfort, appeal, and Lowcountry relaxation.

The home is owned and managed by musicians and they use the front part of the home to teach a couple of acoustic guitar lessons just a few hours during the week. The entire guest suite in the back of the home is separate from the modest studio in the front of the home and the entire back suite, the porch, and the enormous backyard are solely yours to appreciate!

The guest suite features a private keypad entry in the back and offers 2 bedrooms, a full kitchen, and a full bathroom with a double-headed shower. The primary bedroom has a king bed, while the second bedroom includes a trundle with 2 twin beds and a recliner chair. Each room has its own TV. The outdoor living space features a screened-in porch with seating, plus a patio with seating, grille, and fire pit! There’s no living room, but be sure to relax by the fire or grab your beach towels for a short walk to the close by beach. Savor plenty of dining and drinks just steps from the home.

The Sands Beach is the closest beach to The Little Sandpiper, just 0.5 miles away! This cozy sandy spot sits where Battery Creek meets the Beaufort River, with vistas of Parris Island. You’ll often find plenty of shark teeth, and you can even drive your car on the beach! Port Royal is a very walkable community, so you can walk down the avenue to enjoy the local stores as well. Water shoes are recommended. The beach is right next to the Port Royal observation tower. For a more classic beach experience, take a spectacular drive to Hunting Island State Park, South Carolina’s most trendy state park, about 30 mins. away.
