The side door is used to walk upstairs to the condo. The modest bedroom (just big enough for the bed) has a queen bed and modest closet. The on suite bath has a tub/shower and toilet. The living room offers a intelligent tv and modest breakfast table with adjustable leaves. The kitchen has a full refrigerator/freezer, microwave, full cooktop and oven. Coffee can be made using the keurig or French press. We appreciate sipping the coffee on the second story porch.
It is 5 blocks to the bluff overlooking the Beaufort River and Beaufort's spectacular Bay Street, then a little farther to the Waterfront park, eateries, and shopping.

Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Beaufort rental experience:

Get the most from your spending budget:

  • The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Booking your rental up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. To find the best value, try changing your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Some property management companies offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers often offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Beaufort, SC area visitor guide magazines that include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Choosing and booking yourrental home:

  • First and foremost, have your group choose the best dates and a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group requires. The Harrington in downtown Beaufort has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before booking the property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .

More considerations for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Record any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything at departure. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a wonderful stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
