Tips to get the very best Beaufort, SC vacation rental experience:

- The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.

- Property management companies usually offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Advice for a terrific stay:
- Be sure you get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Record any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of problems.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent resource to find the best local attractions.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on great ratings to drive future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
