Strategies to get the perfect Beaufort, SC rental experience:
Get the best rental value:
- In the Beaufort, SC area, The earlier your group can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Summertime is high season in the Beaufort, SC area. To get the best value, try changing your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property managers often offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Often, property management companies supply Beaufort, SC area travel guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Narrow your Search:
- Start by choosing your trip dates and a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. WINTER\/SPRING ON BEAUTIFUL FRIPP ISLAND! Sea Mist Serenity w\/ Golf cart, pet considered, monthly rates available! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the host before you book your home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers charge additional pet fees.
- Visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
Additional considerations:
- Add the owner's information to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of problems.
- Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. Speak to the property manager right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
- Did your group have a excellent stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
