Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Fripp Island rental home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Summer months are high season in Fripp Island. To get the most suitable vacation home within your budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • In the Beaufort, SC area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Booking your rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides contain offers and deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and select a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Beautiful Home Near Cabana Club with Great Views and Outdoor Spaces has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible online. If not, email the property owner before reserving the home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If there's a specific Beaufort, SC destination you crave, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • If your group is bringing pets, filter your search for a property that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

Tips for your stay:

  • We recommend storing the owner's information in your smartphone.
  • To make certain no damages are attributed to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. Call the property manager immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
  • Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed everything at check-out. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on good ratings to compel new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
