- Private vacation home
On the Beaufort River, 6 mins. from downtown and 20 mins. from Parris Island! This family home, designed and constructed in 1955, has been lovingly restored to its original 1950’s appeal. With 4 bedrooms (1 queen, 1 full, 4 twins), 2-1/2 baths, (1 with walk in shower) it sleeps 8 or more comfortably. Located in peaceful Pigeon Point, it offers a enormous living room, intimate dining room, and comfortable den. Cavernous kitchen with reclaimed wood floors features an electric range, dishwasher, microwave, and two fridges. Washer and dryer in laundry room just off kitchen. A sizable screened porch offers water vistas or walk down the 200 foot dock to a roofed gazebo on the creek, and a huge floating dock encourages swimming during warm weather months. Any time of year you may catch a glimpse of herons, egrets, or marsh hens. Or for that matter another type of "bird": F/A18s or F35Bs from close by Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort. Expect some occasional jet noise, but appreciate the show! Charming sunsets!

Tricks and tips for getting the best rental experience:
Getting the most from your rental budget:
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- To get the most suitable rental within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at Beaufort, SC restaurants, tours, and activities.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property management companies usually offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Look for your local Beaufort, SC area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides have discounts for local tours and attractions.
Filter your search:
- First, have your family decide on trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Pinckney Home Place - Your Waterfront Home Away from Home has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before you book your rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or could be applied to your invoice.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
Have a fantastic stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- To ensure that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. message the rental manager immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peace and quiet. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all belongings. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a wonderful vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
