Tips for getting the best Beaufort rental experience:

Getting the most from your rental home budget:

  • The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Reserving your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Booking your vacation rental in Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property managers usually offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guide magazines which include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to choose the best vacation rental in the Beaufort, SC area:

  • Choose a designated group leader, choose your vacation week, and select a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration you need. Carriage House under Live Oaks in historic Beaufort SC has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly property. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.

More tips for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of issues.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves ruin your family vacation.
  • Upon arrival, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your peaceful home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on great ratings to drive future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
