- In the Beaufort, SC area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your rental six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- Some hosts offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
