Our top Beaufort, SC vacation rental booking tips:
Sticking to a rental home budget:
- In the Beaufort, SC area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
- Property management companies typically offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides contain money saving offers on nearby accommodations and attractions.
How to choose the perfect vacation rental:
- Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and choose a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Prince of High Tides has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC rental home search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property manager before you book your home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.
- If there's an individual Beaufort, SC attraction you love, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
More considerations:
- Add the owner's contact information to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
- During check-in, document any issues with the property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your peaceful home. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good reviews to stimulate future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
