Tips to get the best rental experience:

Getting the best rental home value:

  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in Fripp Island. Reserve your rental home in the Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property managers often offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Many property management companies supply Beaufort, SC area travel guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning, selecting, and booking the perfectvacation home:

  • First and foremost, have your family choose trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Waterfront Property with Million Dollar Sunset Views!! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property owner before booking your home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or costs could be applied to your invoice.
  • Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking

During your stay:

  • Add the host's contact information to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental while you're out. Protect your property!
  • Note any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately send them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a wonderful stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
