Tips to get the perfect vacation property experience:
How to get the best value:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Beaufort. To get the most suitable rental home within budget, we recommend booking in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Beaufort, SC restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property managers usually offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area travel guides which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Selecting the perfect rental home:
- Start by selecting your a vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Newly Renovated 3 Bed/2.5 Bath 15 mins to MCRD has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC rental home search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is generally available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before you book the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
- If there's a particular Beaufort, SC attraction you are crazy about, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
- Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the owner about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
Tips for your stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your stay, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of problems.
- Respect your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
- Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a fantastic vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
