How to get the best vacation property experience:

Getting the most from your rental budget:

  • In the Beaufort, SC area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Summer months are high season in Beaufort. To find the best rental within budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides have coupons for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Filter your rental search:

  • Select a group lead, choose your dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Newly Renovated 3 Bed\/2.5 Bath 15 mins to MCRD has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, contact the host before booking the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If your family is bringing pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly property. Request details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a specific Beaufort, SC beach you are enamored with, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.

Advice for a fantastic stay:

  • Add the property manager's information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many difficulties.
  • Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
  • During arrival, record any damages to the property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a terrific stay? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
