Our top Beaufort, SC vacation rental tips:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in the Beaufort, SC area. To get the best value, consider changing your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • In the Beaufort, SC area, The sooner your group can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.

Choosing and booking a perfectrental:

  • Select a group lead, select your dates, and select a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. High Tides & Positive Vibes 2BR Riverfront Cottage has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible online. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before reserving the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what bed configuration is right for your vacation.
  • If there's a specific Beaufort, SC attraction you simply love, search for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or charges might be applied to your agreement.

More tips for your stay:

  • Put the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Record any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute is filed.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your quiet neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a great vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
