Our top Rental booking tips and tricks:
Cost saving strategies:
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- To get the best value, consider shifting your family's Beaufort, SC vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers often offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Look for your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides have offers and deals for local accommodations and attractions.
Selecting the best vacation rental in Beaufort:
- Start by having your family select trip dates and a budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Charming Coastal Casa on Beaufort's Battery Creek has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking pages. If not, email or call the property manager before reserving your rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Get specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a certain Beaufort, SC attraction you long to visit, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
More tips for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your phone.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
- During check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would have never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a excellent time? Many rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
