Tips and Tricks to get the best vacation home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal SC. To get the best value, try shifting your family's Beaufort, SC vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitor guides which often include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to pick the best rental in Beaufort:

  • Choose vacation week and max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Charming Coastal Casa on Beaufort's Battery Creek has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before reserving the rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what is right for your vacation group.
  • If there's a specific Beaufort, SC beach you long to visit, keep an eye out for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge additional pet fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Upon arrival, note any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible resource to find the best local beaches.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
  • Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a fantastic vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
