Tips to get the best Beaufort, SC vacation property experience:
When to book & When to go:
- Summer months are the most expensive season in Beaufort. Booking in Spring or Fall is a good way to save on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Hosts sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites often offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides have coupons for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Make a plan and choose the bestrental:
- Start by selecting your trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration you need. The Drift at Port Royal on Battery Creek has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC rental home search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before booking the home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what is right for your vacation.
- If there's a specific Beaufort, SC destination you simply love, browse rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a property that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
Considerations for your stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Save the directions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- During arrival, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to stimulate future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
