Our top Beaufort vacation rental booking tips and tricks:

Find your best deal:

  • Summertime is high season in the Beaufort, SC area. Book your Beaufort, SC rental property in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property management companies typically offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitor guide magazines that include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Select a group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Quality and Cozy for Four. Pets - Friendly! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible online. If not, reach out to the host before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

Advice for your stay:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many problems.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a wonderful stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
