Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Beaufort, SC vacation property experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in Fripp Island. To book the most suitable rental home for your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at Beaufort, SC restaurants, tours, and activities.
  • In the Beaufort, SC area, The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Some hosts offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guide magazines contain discounts for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Filter your search:

  • Begin by selecting potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Relaxing beachfront condo has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available online. Otherwise, email or call the host before booking the home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what configuration is right for your group.
  • Are you looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
  • Some properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.

Tips for a fantastic stay:

  • We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • At Check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific source for finding the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected everything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a great time? Many rental managers make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
