Booking the best Beaufort, SC rental experience:

When to book a Beaufort, SC rental & When to go:

  • Summer months are high season in Fripp Island. To get the largest rental within budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions.
  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines have deals for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Choose vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Relaxing beachfront condo has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property manager before you reserve your home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
  • If there's an individual Beaufort, SC destination you crave, look for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or charges could be applied to your agreement.

Tips for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • During arrival, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything at departure. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a excellent time? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
