Fripp Island vacation rental tips:

How to get the best value:

  • The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • To find the best value, try changing your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers often offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides contain coupons for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Choosing the best vacation rental in the Beaufort, SC area:

  • Start by selecting your the best vacation week and a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group requires. 221 Tennis Villa - New to VRBO! Resort Access Included! has 1 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is commonly available online. If you don't see them listed, contact the host before you book the rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to determine which bed configuration is suitable for your family.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Get information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a certain Beaufort, SC beach you long to visit, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.

More considerations:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Save the directions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
  • Upon check-in, make note of any damages to the property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a great stay? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
