Tips and Tricks to get the optimal Beaufort, SC rental home experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- June, July, and August are high season in the Beaufort, SC area. Reserve your Beaufort, SC vacation home in the Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- The sooner your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Planning and choosing yourrental:
- Choose dates and budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Marsh Haven - Beautiful marsh view, center island, walk to the beach, 236 Tennis Villa has 1 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, call the property management company before booking the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If there's a particular Beaufort, SC destination you crave, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property managers charge additional pet fees.
More tips for your stay:
- Take a copy of the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
- During check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately contact the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would at home.
- Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a great time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
