How to book the best Beaufort, SC vacation rental experience:

Getting the most from your budget:

  • The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Summer is high season in Fripp Island. Booking your Beaufort, SC vacation rental in Fall or Spring months is an excellent way to save on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property managers often offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area travel guides which often include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning and picking a perfect Beaufort, SC rental home:

  • Choose vacation week and budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. 180 Beach Club Villa - New to VRBO! Resort Access Included! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before you book your home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what bed configuration is right for your vacation family.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the owner about pets before booking.
  • Does your family require unique amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking

More tips for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
  • To make certain damages aren't attributed to your visit, note any problem areas when you arrive. Speak to the host immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers bothering your home life. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a great stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your property and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
