Fripp Island vacation rental tips:

When to visit & When to book:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in Fripp Island. Reserve your Beaufort, SC rental home in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Property managers typically offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Often, management companies supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guide magazines that include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to select the best rental home in the Beaufort, SC area:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation week, and select a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. 18 Veranda Beach Drive - New to VRBO! Resort Access Included! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available online. If they are not listed, email or call the property owner before booking the vacation property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to determine what configuration is right for your trip.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Additional considerations:

  • Get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of problems.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • Record any issues with the property at check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to stimulate future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
