Beaufort rental home tips and tricks:
Money saving strategies:
- Summer months are high season in the Beaufort, SC area. To get the best value, change your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- In the Beaufort, SC area, The sooner your group can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Property managers usually offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Many rental management companies supply Beaufort, SC area visitor guide magazines which include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Make a plan and pick your Beaufort, SC rental home:
- Select a group leader, select your dates, and select a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Waterfront Condo Conveniently Located to MCRD Beaufort and Port Royal has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property manager before booking the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you must book a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
Advice for a great stay:
- Get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make certain that damages are not attributed to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. Contact the host right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few concerns.
- Be a good neighbor. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a fantastic stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
