The ideal location for exploring the Lowcountry. Amazing vistas. The calming patio is ideal for appreciating the handsome sun rise or an evening glass of wine. Keep an eye out for dolphins in Battery Creek. Bring your SUP or kayak and launch at the ramp next door. Close to MCRD and mins. to historic downtown Beaufort. Port Royal has Sands Beach, Boardwalk and Cypress Wetlands. Hunting Island State Park Beach is roughly a 30 min. drive.

This ground floor condo is located in a modest, gated community. It includes a well equipped kitchen. We've tried to think of everything our guests might need to prepare meals. Even a sizable stock pot for shrimp or crab boils and a modest charcoal grille on the patio. For coffee drinkers, a Keurig or a pour over and a coffee grinder are supplied.

There is a TV in both the living room and bedroom with access to Netflix and YouTubeTV, which provides 85+ channels. Beaufort also has one of the last Drive in theaters if you would rather go out.

The bedroom has a comfortable queen bed with a memory foam bed. (Note: this is the only bed in the condo) There is also a workspace with high speed wireless internet. Laundry room with stack washer and dryer for your convenience. Unfortunately, we do not allow family pets.

Food Lion is located across the street, or Publix and WalMart are within a few miles. And you don't want to miss the Port Royal Farmers Market every Saturday morning where you can find fresh seasonal local produce, baked goods or fresh cooked foods to bring back to appreciate later. In season you should have no trouble finding fresh seafood being sold in stands and markets along the roads for that lowcountry boil.

Don't like to prepare while visiting? You'll have no problem taking advantage of the variety of eateries located within a few miles in Beaufort and Port Royal. From fine dining, fast food, or a seafood meal while watching the sunset over the water, our area has it all.

For enjoying the lowcountry outdoors, the 13.6 mile Spanish Moss Trail can be accessed close by if you have your bicycles or just want to savor a walk or run along the marshes.
Port Royal Sands boardwalk is the ideal place to fish or try your luck at crabbing. (there is no place to fish at the condo) Historic Beaufort is also an enchanting place to ride or walk. The area also offers guided kayak tours and fishing trips, walking tours, dolphin cruises, carriage rides and more. Need suggestions? We are happy to help.

Not to be missed is what many people come for- the ocean beach. Hunting Island State Park is South Carolina's most trendy state park. It is roughly 30 mins. and is a spectacular drive through marshes and across the bridges that connect the Sea Islands. The park has 5 miles of pristine sand beach on the Atlantic. Pack a picnic for a day of swimming and beach combing. You can even climb to the top of the lighthouse if you're brave. The new fishing pier is a favorite place to fish, and many people enjoy surf fishing on the beach.

Several movies have been filmed in Beaufort. While exploring, keep an eye out for familiar Forest Gump locations. The classic Big Chill was filmed here and you might get a glimpse of the home, Tidalholm, in the historic Point district. If interested, you can find details online of all film locations.

Appreciate history? You won't be disappointed. Beaufort is South Carolina's second oldest city. Antebellum homes, ancient live oak trees draped in Spanish Moss, historic churches and ruins, not to mention the rich Gullah Geechee history and culture, are only the beginning. The Visitors Center in downtown Beaufort can assist you in any direction that interests you.

There is so much to do in Beaufort/Port Royal to keep you coming back again. And that doesn't include the fact that Savannah, Charleston and Hilton Head Island are all within an hours drive, more or less. The Big Blue Fish can be your basecamp for countless adventure.

Note: unfortunately we are unable to accept young kids or pets.

Tips to get the perfect vacation property experience:

Getting the best rental value:

  • Reserve your Beaufort, SC rental in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites usually offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area travel guides which include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • First and foremost, have your group decide on a vacation week and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Waterfront Condo Conveniently Located to Beaufort and Port Royal has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before you book the rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
  • Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.

More considerations:

  • Get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
  • Make a record of any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors disrupting your life at home. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a fantastic stay? Most rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
