Search Early and Often

Like many renowned hot spots, In Beaufort, SC the best vacation homes are booked early. Pick your Place and Travel Week

Consensus can be complicated among family, but the moment this challenging part is complete everything will start to slide in place.

Just How Many Beds?

Take a head count. How many beds and bedrooms will you need? Be aware that many homes advertise maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in the home's living room. It is important to figure out what is suitable for your company. Specific descriptions of bedrooms and beds are usually available online. If not, communicate with the property owner before you book.

Create a Spending Limit

Does your chosen vacation property fit your budget during that popular Summer week? If a few individuals or families are sharing the cost, ensure each person understands their responsibilities and has approved a maximum they are willing to pay. Most rental contracts require a single person to be responsible for the entire reservation.

Create a list of "Wishes" and "Needs"

What amenities is the group looking for? Is a screened deck a necessity? Would you like to be away from it all, or close to a city setting? Are items like beach chairs, barbecue grills, beach umbrellas, buggies or coolers at your disposal and included with your rental property payment? Make a list of prioritized "needs and wishes" from your company to help narrow your search to the most appropriate rental.

Accessibility and Special Considerations

Do a few members of your group have specialized needs? Make sure you remember and inquire about wheel chair access, pool lifts and special equipment requirements..

Have You Considered Furry Family Members?

Remember to include your pets. Dog policies are different at each property. Read descriptions thoroughly. You'll want to study descriptions and contracts carefully. Charges may apply when pets are added. Ask questions *before* you reserve!

  • Remember to be a good next-door neighbor. Local people will likely be as friendly to you as you are considerate of them. Remember the golden rule and treat others the same way you'd like to be treated by visitors next to your residence.
  • Ask a local. Locals can often point you in the right direction.
  • Enjoy your stay! Make certain to protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental home secured while you are away, just like you would in your own home.

Check Out Time

  • Tidy up a little bit. Despite the fact that you're spending money on a cleaning fee, The vacation rental should really be in very good condition. Sinks full of dirty dishes, surplus beach sand on the flooring and sticky messes ought to be dealt with before leaving.
  • Once everything is out, do a walk-through of the property to make sure no property damage occurred during your stay. If it is possible, do this walk-out assessment with the property manager present. If the property manager is not available, make certain to take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you enjoy your rental home? Most rental management companies and rental search sites allow renters to provide comments. If the property and/or property manager was top notch, they will appreciate your positive reviews. If something went wrong, we recommend being pleasant but completely honest in regards to your rental experience. Top owners and managers will try very hard to solve the situation.

Use Your Experience
