Strategies to get the perfect vacation property experience:
Sticking to your spending budget:
- In the Beaufort, SC area, The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Beaufort, SC area. Booking in Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Some hosts and property managers offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers typically offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Often, property management companies supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guides which will include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Choosing and booking the right Beaufort, SC rental:
- Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and select a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Pelican Place - Golf cart included 704 Swordfish has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available online. Otherwise, email or call the host before booking the property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what is optimal for your vacation family.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you must book a rental that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Are you looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking
Additional considerations:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
- During check-in, record any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on good reviews to compel new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
