How to find the best Beaufort, SC rental experience:

Get the most from your rental budget:

  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • To get the best value, shift your family's Beaufort, SC trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guides that include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Choosing the perfect vacation rental:

  • Select a group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Ocean View Condo, Golf Cart Included, Private Patio, Newly Redecorated - 607 Newhaven has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC rentals search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is often available online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before you book your rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine which bed configuration is best for your family.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a rental that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Is your group looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking

Considerations for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Save the directions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
  • At Check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic resource to find the best local scenic spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected everything. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a terrific time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
